Help Scotty, I recently purchased a 2009 Buick Lucerne with 60k miles in great condition. Overall it's been a great car except for my power Seat not completely working. All control functions work except for the up-down control. I'm somewhat tall and the previous owner sat pretty high up so it's really uncomfortable to drive. I was curious if there's a way to fix this as I don't want to replace the entire seat. The motor makes noise but doesn't actually move the seat. Thanks!

If the motor makes noise but nothing is moving probably the plastic gears have stripped out and you need a new motor+gearbox assembly for the seat.
