Hi scotty! I have a manual 2001 nb miata with exactly 110k miles on it. I recently just replaced my car slave cylinder hoping it would fix the issue. My car is driving fine like no issue when driving. The only problem is when im backing up, my car would get stuck in reverse when trying to move it to 1st gear or any gear. I read something online i have to replace the reverse light switch on the side of the gear box under the car… but im not too sure. Did i not bleed the clutch correctly? Is there air in the clutch? Is this a concern for my transmission? Thanks u sir.

Also, I noticed when my clutch is stepped all the way to the floor, i would feel some lost pressure, that when my gear would locked up… so maybe need to bleed properly? Idk thanks

Check your clutch master cylinder reservoir for low fluid and the clutch pedal adjustments. Also check your clutch slave cylinder for leaks and function.  Replacement is about $25.
