Scotty i got an 99 nissan hardbody, and when i stop the motor, the power steering fluid comes up e leaks out of the reservoir cap. only leaks when engine is off

You have air in the system which causes foaming/bubbles which push the fluid out of the reservoir.
Check you low pressure power steering hose for cracks.

Let the truck run with the cap off as well to try and bleed it out and make sure it’s not filled above the max in the tank
i tried and failed. unfortunatly had to change the pump
