Hello! I have a 2010 Ford Fusion SEL. Yesterday, my power steering service message came on, but I was already in my neighborhood, so I just went home and figured I’d deal with it later.
today, I get in my car and the message has changed to “service power steering NOW,” and the steering wheel is completely locked up.
recently when my car has an issue I’ve begun to fix them myself so I learn a thing or two, so does anyone know what I need to do here? Thanks!

Have you checked your power steering fluid lately?

What type of power steering does your car have? Is it electric power assist steering (EPAS)?

He never indicated the engine. Some have pumps and some have steering motors.
