hey scotty i have 2005 mercury mariner with 227,000 miles and i have a power steering whine sound. I recently replaced the power steering pump but sound is still here. you can only hear it at low speeds, startup and making a turn. any remedies or quick fix?

Did you bleed all the old fluid and air out when the new pump was installed? It's also possible the replacement pump is noisy. The quality of replacement parts these days is very hit or miss. You may want to use a mechanic's stethoscope to verify the noise is coming from the pump and not the steering rack.
