Hi Scotty, Big Fan. I listen to your show all the time when coming back from work. Got an issue with my power windows on my 2011 Chevy Avalanche Lt 5.3L 170,000 miles. Both drivers side wont roll up or down when pressing the switch. The rear driver side switch doesn't work either but incredibly both passengers switches on doors work! So I'm thinking master power switch needs to be replaced but not entirely sure. What's your opinion about this? I dont want to spend 200 dollars on something I may not need. Thanks a bunch.
You might want to try this instead of dishing out $$. There are contacts inside that you can clean up and should get your windows working again. Your Avalanche switches should be the same.

Thanks for the video it was very educational. I did find out that my master switch is totally fried. I failed to mention that the switches on the actual passenger doors did work but not on through the master switch and the rear driver side switch is a little bit dirty but it still works. All that is left without working is the master switch. Any ideas to what it may cause it to go totally bad?
Anytime you open the windows and it's rainy or spilling drinks or very dusty environment, and just using them over 10 yrs. I like the older SUV/Truck master switch panels (2000-2005), they were modular underneath.
