I have 2018 ford edge with 48k miles. Powerlifting gate won’t open sometimes. Key fob for tailgate won’t open or shut. When I manage to open the gate with power and engine on. I check the fuse box, and battery tested at an auto parts store. Says it has 90% left. Nothing on dashboard to tell me if the tailgate is not functioning.

Well that's just typical. Pour forward quality that they're known for these days. Generally, what happens is the receiving unit doesn't work right? So it doesn't get the signal to open and close. It is a relatively expensive fix. If it's not under warranty anymore, I'd live with it
