I'm trying to get a car and when I ask if I can have the car be seen by a mechanic, most sellers only want the mechanic to be present versus going to a shop. Does anyone know any mechanics that'd be willing to see a car that's not yourmechanic/LemonSquad? Also, is this just a red flag as some people may want to hide something wrong if they have their car in a shop where it can be lifted? I don't know anyone and I'm not sure even how do people find mechanics willing to do pre-purchase inspections.
It's a red flag for me. I wouldn't touch it if I can't get a proper look at it.
I don’t know if these guy do pre purchase inspections or if they go of site. But I have used them as mechanics.
