Preemptive Alternator Replacement?

Hey all! I have a 99 Honda CRV with ~52K miles on it. This car has never stranded me and I don't feel like starting now. I feel like if something is going to break and leave me stranded it may very well be a 21 yr old alternator. Wondering if this forum thinks preemptively replacing it would be worth while even though it only has 52K miles. Maybe just test it regularly instead? Would love to hear thoughts!

Thanks

I always tell people replace your battery once the Cold Cranking Amperage starts falling. Most people check the Battery voltage and ignore the CCA.

Just think of this way, the starter and battery won’t work as hard just as long as the battery is healthy.

If it’s charging 14 + volts leave it alone.....
