Scotty. I have a 2020 Toyota CH-R which I don’t drive much because I have a second car. I just drive the CH-R on weekends and put around 20 miles on it each weekend. Since the car just mostly sits during the week, is it on to fill it up using premium gas vs regular. Does premium gas not break down as easily as regular?
Premium over regular just sitting doesn’t change. You should just use what the car calls for and you’ll be fine
nope. No difference in stability.
The CH-R takes 87 (regular) or higher. No need for premium, just wasting your money.
If your vehicle takes 87, there's no harm in pumping higher octane. Higher octane typically applies to turbo cars to reduce the amount of engine knock unless the user manual REQUIRES higher octane. You should be fine pumping higher octan but its just a waste of money if you're not driving a turbo-ed car or vehicles that require higher octane.
