I have a 2024 Honda Accord EX-L Hybrid.

How can I prevent headlights from hazing in the first place?

It's inevitable that your plastic headlights will eventually fade. As you drive, tiny bits of debris erode the hard surface plastic and exposes softer plastic underneath. It's basically slowly sandblasting them. Soft plastic susceptible to the Sun's UV rays, leading to the headlights fading over time. The upper parts near the hood of my 2017 Mustang are starting to fade first, and my car only has 31k miles on it.

Scotty has recommended Plexus.

@chucktobias I think it is unavailable now

There are some places online that still list it as available. The company's web site sells it, but minimum order is a case of 12. Since Plexus was designed to protect plexiglass aircraft canopies it may be available in the flight shops at general aviation airports.

@chucktobias is there an alternative to Plexus?

Not that I know of.
