Hi Scotty I'm a huge fan. Its winter 30 degree weather. I drive a 2012 Toyota Prius with 300000 miles and never had a check engine light, but now when I step on the gas my Prius blows out cold air and when I'm stopped it blows out hot air. What should I do.
Well unfortunately those hybrid Priuses are so freaking complicated. They're not like regular cars. In a regular car, if it did that, it generally means the thermostat is stuck open. But if you see your temperature gauge stays normal in the middle and it does that you have some kind of wacky electronic problem with the heating system and the electronics on those hybrids are so complex. You're going to have to see a Toyota specialist on that one. And I mean a guy who knows hybrids inside out. There's very few of those
