I'm looking at a 2013 or 2015 Prius. What do I need to know? How much does it cost to replace the battery? How often does battery need replaced? Are these years reliable? This will be my first car purchase. My dad watches you all the time. Now I know why, there's a lot to know about an automobile. Thank you for your help

That the battery and possibly generator and other expensive parts have a good chance of failing in the near future, requiring thousands of dollars in repairs. Are you prepared to spend a few thousand dollars on a new hybrid battery pack and possibly 5 or 6 thousand on a replacement generator in addition to what looks like outrageous Carmax pricing? Scotty has stated quite a few times that old hybrids should be avoided.
