Trying to help my girlfriend, she said “When I start my 2014 Mazda 6 occasionally it makes this noise. Not every time, but maybe like ever other day. I don’t know what it’s from. In order to make it go away I have to turn off car and restart it sometimes multiple Times. There is no CD in it, it seems as if it’s coming from infotainment system but really not sure.”

I had talked to her about possibly swapping the factory infotainment system for a CarPlay one, if this noise signals that it’s wearing out maybe now is a good time to swap units
