Just this past couple of weeks the door has got to where it won't open with the key or the keyfob to open it I usually have to open it from the inside is this a common occurrence.  Thanks in advance

What does it feel like? Is the key stuck in the barrel and can't turn it? Locks not working? Does the door from the outside just "feel" locked or is it just flapping about? Modern cars tend to use plastics. In the case of hyundai maybe more to tend to be of the chinese ones. So it may have snapped on the outer hence why you can still open it from the inside. You can get replacements quite easily and it shouldn't be too hard of a fix. If the thing do be electrically controlled though you be in a world of hurt knowing the price of a single unit.
