The Engine are in a Toyota Avensis 1.8L 2005 mod. and has 111xxx km on the counter. and it's a manual transmission
Really one of the best engines Toyota ever made they can basically run forever do minimal maintenance on them
I've had three 1.8 Toyota engines in my life and they were all indestructible
@scottykilmer
thanks for the reply. 🙂
But I heard somthing about the pistonrings.
and high oil consumption, and the engines are finished at about 200k km.
But I think it all comes down to maintenance. 🙂
I dont know thees engines, only had european cars, with one exception a Mitsubishi Sigma.
The oil consumption is the 2.4 engine. If you absolutely destroy it than the 1.8 might also burn a little bit but they are very good engines.
Hello!
I suggest you get a few years newer one to avoid the oil consumption folklore.
More info about that engine (click there).
Good luck!
You are welcome ☺
oil consumption in Toyota's is specifically to the 2.4L I4 engine. The 1.8 Is one of the best. Just stay away from the 2000+ Toyota Celica which had a garbage yamaha engine.
Thank you for the input. 🙂
Good to know. 🙂
Yamaha engine, for real? haha.. LOL..
Yes that was a huge failure in the celicas that is why they are so cheap
