No surprise here.  Thanks @chucktobias.

Gotta love how not only couldn't they connect a simple 2-wire power plug correctly, they didn't even know how to bench test a 12V power outlet. I could have done either task when I was 12 years old. Scratching up the panel where the outlet is mounted was the icing on the cake.

Sad but true @chucktobias

Far from an isolated incident.

Dealership technician testimonial

I hate dealerships. From sales to service. They are always trying to pull one over on you.

Service Advisors are the worst, always trying upsell a service. Followed by either incompetent techs or techs that don’t care.

With that said, there are a few hidden gems of honest competent master technicians that care. Even better if that guy runs a side business fixing cars. But these are few and far between.

When I had my BMW, that’s the kind of mechanic I took my car to. He worked for BMW during the week. And ran a side hustle on the weekends.

They got monkeys working at the stealerships.  I cringe even to bring a vehicle in for warranty work or recall work.  Thankfully, I haven’t had to come in for either work in the last 27 years!
