I have a 2012 dodge caravan sxt, my belt squeaks when idling and doesn't get louder when driving it stays the same. I poured water on the underside of the belt and the sound went away. I looked under the vehicle and noticed the squeak is coming from a pulley to the left of my belt tensioner. I do not have the Chilton book and am solely relying on the Kilmer expertise! Lol! Love you scotty!

How old is the belt? Is it tight enough? If it's been replaced recently was it with a leading brand of belt like Continental or Goodyear etc.? It might be helpful to know what the pulley to the left of the belt is. (Alternator? Idler?)

squeak is coming from a pulley to the left of my belt tensioner.
