- Was thinking about purchasing a 2010 Honda Civic LX auto sedan (no noticeable damage anywhere on/in the vehicle) with 85,065 miles on it for $7250 from a dealership quite close to my home. I am purchasing this car for the convenience of gas mileage and proximity from my home is this a good deal or am I gonna get ripped off? I have looked for private sellers selling anything similar to this with similar mileage and haven’t found much luck any options are welcome. Closet thing by a private seller was a 2009 Honda Civic coupe with 117,000 with scratches and $4500.

If it can pass a mechanical inspection and has a clean title, it could be a good buy. I'd rather be around $5000 for it, but the market is high right now.

I wouldn't get any car from the dealership because they usually overpriced their vehicles and it might have hidden mechanical problems. You're better off with the Civic coupe because it's smaller and it handles a bit better than a normal Civic. Check with the mechanic and the titles first before buying it. I would be in the same situation as you later on.
