Good day Scotty. Hope all is well. I have a 1996 Toyota Corolla 1.6l automatic with 144,000 miles. drives great but I recently noticed it only goes to 3rd gear and never shifts to 4th gear.what should I check?
Second And third question is about a 2000 Toyota Camry 2.2l automatic. Bought it for 400$. I know it needs a timing job. Mileage unknown. Only 1 CEL code for a knock sensor. I noticed while I drove it a short distance home that the mileage display and the speedometer part of the cluster was not working. Also the transmission shifting was iffy like sluggish and hesitant after a while.
Second questions is why do you think the battery light is on in the gauge cluster? The alternator is charging but the battery light is on. Thanks for any help you can give.
Please only one question at a time we get swamped by all these questions. As for the Camry if the speedometer doesn't work the computer doesn't know the actual speeds that's not going to shift right I would fix that first pray it's just a bad speed sensor on a transmission
