Hi, Scot.... just saw a 2012 Chevy custom Transit van...1500. Has a 5.3 L engine....61,000 miles...clean title...... What should I look for, If I consider purchasing this vehicle.. I do not know the VIN, as of yet....just saw it on Marketplace.
What kind of "marketplace" are you talking about? Something like autotrader.com? Used car dealer? New car dealer? Dealers will generally have the highest prices. Use car dealers selling older models are frequently bottom-feeders selling junk that no one else will touch. Look out for rust damage and failed parts "repaired" with rattle-can spray paint.
You can get an idea of inherent problem areas by looking the vehicle up on sites like carcomplaints.com. To determine whether the one you're considering is in good condition you need to have a good mechanic give it a thorough inspection before purchase.
