been hearing creaking in my 2012 corolla axio with 60k km, took to mechanic he says i need new rack end, should i get oem or aftermarket, the after market is also made in japan and is a fifth of the price of the oem, which should i get?

Japanese parts are typically very well made and I believe scotty would say the same thing. In my opinion you should go for the aftermarket.

If the OE is outrageously expensive vs the aftermarket, then you can try it out.
