Radio went dead

Good morning Scotty,

I have a 2016 Ram 1500 Sport 5.7 hemi V8 2WD with 67K miles. Today I went to start the car and the radio won't turn on it's just complete black screen no sound. I'm hoping it's just a blown fuse and not the head unit itself since it also has various settings that control the rest of the car just like every other newer car. I know Chrysler products are known to have electrical problems, but how much does the unit cost if it's the last thing I have to replace ? I have the uconnect 8.4N version.

Thanks

Well, check the fuses. Pray it's a blown fuse but realize the fuse is blown and generally blows for a reason. Chrysler mint crab products and often those screens go dead because the unit just craps out and it is an 8-year-old vehicle which is pretty typical for those things. My advice is if it's crapped out, get a universal Android unit that cost tons less and is much better made than a crap Chrysler puts in them
