My 2005 Nissan Armada with 251,000 runs like a charm. Just drove it from TN to Minnesota and back. No issues. Big 5.6 L V8.
The tailpipe is loose. The end part not the whole muffler. Looks like there's some kind of pin of bolt that holds that part on- but it's missing. Any clue?
It actually is loose where the tailpipe is welded
Not that surprising. It's an 18yo car with 250k. Things just eventually rust and break off. Especially driving in rust states.
I suspect the problem doesn't end at the tailpipe either. It probably needs extensive exhaust work.
Well most exhaust systems are held on with rubber donuts. See if one of the donuts broke off or maybe the part that holds the donut has broken off and it's all missing. They actually hang from those rubber donuts and straps
It actually is loose where the tailpipe is welded ( I guess it's welded in the factory) into the muffler. It stays on but is loose. I'm guessing with 252,000 miles it has seen a lot of water and corrosion. Love my Armada though. Runs great.
I think Scotty missed the point. (and embelished the question?)
I think a photo of the problem would reveal that.
It's not the first time Scotty didn't read the question as it was written. Who knows how many I've missed because of this.
