Hi! I have a 08 Mountaineer that gets water in several spark plug ports when it rains. Currently we are blowing them out, is there a permanent fix for this? This happens every time it rains.

The rubbers on the ignitions coils are probably worn out. Replace the ignition coils.

That's not right. Rain shouldn't be getting on the engine. Is there something wrong with the hood?
There’s nothing wrong with the hood, no wrecks or dents. My husband did tell me he replaced the boots but not with Mopar

Maybe put a small bead of silicone around the surface of the coil where it's supposed to seal against the valve cover. How is water getting under the hood?
All we can think is the rain channel is not functioning properly
