Hi Scotty I know you don't like ram trucks but I have 2017 slt ram 1500 with 8 spd zf transmission and v6 pentastar what do you think about this combination , I don't do hauling with the truck should I keep it or trade it for tundra , tundra are more expensive what your thoughts can this truck last me till like 200k miles the truck is simple plenty space to work and doesn't have much electronics and they said they improved pentastar after 2016
They improved the Pentastar, but that isn't saying much. The early Pentastars were absolutely terrible.
I wouldn't trade your truck in for a Tundra though. You'll lose your shirt on the deal. I would instead drive it until it hits 100k or your equity evens out, then trade it. Pentastar motors don't go 200k miles. Not without some hefty repairs along the way. Especially when they are moving a full size truck.
