I’m helping my dad rebuild his 1997 ram 2500. I can’t find what the gear ratios are for it. It’s a 360 gasser.

jack up the vehicle, turn the axle by hand, and count the number of times the driveshaft turns. Or open up the axle. It should be stamped right into the gears.

360 gasser = 360 cubic inch V8 (or 5.9L V8). Looking in the brochure for 1997 2500 HD with the 5.9L V8, if you have a 4x2 then your rear axle ratio is 3.54. But if 4x4 then it is 4.09. See below:
