What are y’all’s thoughts on ram pickups specifically the Hemi engines and transmissions I’m not looking to buy one I just want an opinion.

From what I have read and researched the better year for a newer Italian Ram 1/2 ton truck was 2017. If you’re looking more earlier 2000s I would buy a 2008/09 German 1/2 ton Ram.
The drivetrains are good but everything falls apart around them.
You’re right. My wife has a 2013 grand Cherokee with the same hemi engine. It’s at 140,000 miles. Other than lifter tick, the motor and drive train have been fine. All the problems have been with the relays and other electronics.
Which year and generation? FCA quality has gone downhill over the decades.
I would go Toyota > Ford > GM > Ram.
So I guess the quality is terrible which isn’t a surprise I just wanna hear an opinion from anyone who drives rams.
There is one RAM I would consider. The RAM's that come with a Cummins Diesel engine. From what my die hard truck fans tell me, Cummins engines are virtually indestructible.
Good point! And I know some Rams come with Aisin or Allison transmissions, which are good too. But the electronics behind the truck will probably give out first.
drove a 2009 RAM 4x4 for 4 years and put 165,000 miles on it with no problems, did start to run hot driving in the mountains year 4
currently driving a 2019 Ram 4x4 with 68000 miles with no problems, gets 17mpg
Be prepared to pull the heads and replace the cam and cheap quality roller lifters that go bad and eat the cam. This a common problem on the newer Hemis.
I’m not sure if I would buy one, given the historical reliability problems. But the interiors, performance, and ride quality are the best at the price point. To be fair.
