hi i have a 07 tundra with 137k mi. first the only code i have is bad cat or sensor
ok so randomly my truck will die it seems to do it when my foot is not on the accelerator and stopping or pulling in a parking lot i believe every time is after i hit a bump.
the first time after it died i started it and it died i started it again it died then i started it and it ran fine. every time after that after it dies i start and runs fine. my thougt was maybe fuel problem but not 100%. i wish it wouldn't start back so i can diagnose but it starts back then runs fine for a while. i don't have a gauge for testing the fuel pressure wanted to get an opinion or see if anyone has had this problem.
Scan it for codes. It sounds like a fuel problem. Have you ever changed the fuel filter or cleaned the injectors in 15 years? How about the MAF sensor, MAP sensor and PCV valve? You really need to get the fuel pump pressure tested.
No haven't done any of that only coad is for the cat or sensors. I've only owned the truck for 3mo. I wanted to get a 2nd opinion before I bought a fuel pressure gage. There is no inline fuel filter that I could find so I'm assuming it's in the tank but again I wanted a 2nd opinion before I pull the tank. Thanks for your help I'll look at fuel gages.
Fuel pressure is 41psi
The only code is p0420 and p0430
I noticed on my obd reader it says my shrtftb1s2 is n/a. Is it the same as the o2 sensor? The o2 b1s2(v) is reads 0.760
The only code is p0420 and p0430

i believe every time is after i hit a bump
check your electrical connections
Thanks. I have checked the connections. I think it's just a Coincidence because I live on a rough Gravel road and it has never died driving it. Just frustrating me and my dad ( a mechanic for 30+ yrs but got out late 90s so not real Familiar with new electronics) 😵💫🥴
