hello, I have a question. 2001 Ford ranger 3.0 liter, auto trans, 184000 miles, About a year ago i replaced my 2001 rangers AC compressor, orifice tube, O rings and accumulator. Charged it up and it has worked fine. Today after work as I turned the engine off at home I heard a BOOM. I thought it was a radiator hose. NO it was the top line to the AC. Freon everywhere. I thought maybe the orifice tube was stopped up so changed that put on all new O rings recharged the system and it was working fine. Turned off the engine and BOOM same line comes off again. ANY ideas what is causing this?

What are your system pressures? Sounds like your high side pressure is running wild.
