I have a honda civic 1993, Recently I decided to change my intake manifold gasket and when I return the intake and start the engine it starts with a high idle.
I did adjust the idle and start to add my radiator coolant. It happens that the coolant is leaking and my engine starts to sound like it was choked.
I remove all my coolant and turn off the engine, but when bolt down the nuts to its torque spec and start the engine it starts to make some rattling noise. I have no idea where these noise came from, but i am pretty sure its in upper part of my engine.
How many miles on it?
Did you have enough oil in the engine?
Yeah, recently I just change the engine oil I think over a month ago.
Sounds like coolant is getting into the combustion chamber somewhere. Is it blowing white smoke? Possible blown head gasket or cracked head.
At first it did blow white smoke but the I drained my coolant and turn the engine off cause I noticed leaking coolant from the intake gasket.
