I’m 63 years young and about to buy my last car in December or January.  Due to your recommendation I do not want a hybrid.  Do you recommend the 2024 Rav 4 or the 2025 models.  I heard ALL 2025 models are going to be turbo, is that true? I would like it fully loaded but then that brings up another question  Buy a high end Rav 4 or low end Lexus? 🤪
Thank you for your time….Deron from PA.

I would go 2024

I’d personally buy used but I don’t think it’ll matter which one you choose. I’ve heard that the RAV4 is going to be redesigned for 2026 and be full hybrid like the new Camry. With that in mind, I don’t think they would change the engine a year before they go full hybrid so either one should be fine.

Thank you. 😃👍🏻👍🏻

That’s a pretty good indicator of what is to come. The RAV4 is based heavily on the Camry, so whatever drivetrain comes in the new Camry is most likely the drivetrain in the next RAV4.

One YouTube mechanic, TCCN, even says, if he looked underneath a modern RAV4 and a Camry he couldn’t tell the difference between the two.
