Do the 2006-2008 Rav4 v6's have tranny issues compared to the 2009-2012 v6. Are the 06-08 Rav4's v6 worth the way lower price rather than the mid cycle refresh of the 2009-2012 Rav4's.

Not really. There we some transmission complaints but honestly the engines issues are a lot more prevelant. 4 cylinders are just fine when it comes to power plus you would get better fuel economy. The V6 would also be very reliable though. Its a case by case imo because mechanical condition, miles, the deal you get, etc. are more important in this case.
Also, like mountainman said, the FAQ has lots of information on used cars.
