Rav4 burning Oil

Hi I have a 2013 Toyota RAV4 LE with 80k miles and auto transmission. We noticed a few months ago that the oil light came on and we checked the oil and noticed it was almost empty. So we added more oil, then took it to the dealership a week later and all the did was changed the oil and said bring it back after 1000 miles if was still loosing oil. And we forgot and it went past 1000 but we kept putting oil in when needed. But just took it back to the dealership last week for regular maintenance and oil change and mentioned to them that is still using oil. So this time they said keep an eye on and come back after 1000 miles and we will check further into issue. We have not seen any leaks. Why do you think it is burning oil with not very many miles on it? Is it better to replace engine with new or rebuilt engine? Or should we get a new car?

What’s your engine oil change interval?

Normally every 5-10k miles

Change the PCV valve. To find the engine conditions, do the wet and dry compression tests on cylinders.
