Hello Scotty,
I searched for a video of you breaking down the 1gr-fe engine and didn't see one. Last year I purchased a 2012 regular cab short bed tundra, with 25k miles on it at the time . It is 2wd with an updated 1gr-fe v6 engine. I watched a car care nut video and he basically said its one of the top 5 engines Toyota ever made. Id really be interested why that is and am willing to drive my truck to you if you would like to review it. I live in Virginia. The regular cab short bed tundra is quite rare so it would be cool to see a video on it.
I know you are a busy man so thank you for any attention you pay to this post. I am a huge fan!
Daniel

Well, it's a normally aspirated cast iron engine block with timing chain. A pretty reliable combo. No direct injection. No plastic valve covers. However, I don't know if I'd call it one Toyota's "top" engines. It does have it's problems which lead to a shorter lifespan. You can read about them here: https://www.motorreviewer.com/engine.php?engine_id=128
am willing to drive my truck to you if you would like to review it.
