Hi,
I have a Passat 2006 VW with 147k miles- timing chain broke.
Is it smarter to pay someone to rebuild/do valve work or to swap out for a used engine? Thing is, I already put brand new oil pump 2 years ago? What's less expensive? How much labor time does it take to swap out old for new/used engine? Trying to save money and preserve. - Wish I could swap out newer upper part of engine only.. Please advise. Thank you very much.
