Scotty huge fan please help I need your expert advice 🙏.  I have a 2012 ford raptor with 150,000 miles and the driver side rear hun or axle Is making a very loud bag and click when I make a sharp turn. It also feels like the rear is locked at slow speeds.  My truck has been hit by 2 cars on that side tire. I had no damage because of the big tires ... Can't say the same for there cars. Do you think it could be the baring or axle I'm not sure what it could be and I just spent a ton of money this week on rebuilding my Trans and doing a lot of maintenance example new breaks and roders plugs coils wire power steering pump and much much more.  I'm now broke and don't wanna get ripped off. What do you think it could be. Please help. Thank you in advance . Mark I from New Jersey.

Sounds like the rear end is going out. Check the fluid through the fill hole before you doing anything else. It should be level with the bottom of the hole. If it's not, you'll want to fill it with the correct gear oil until it is.

Did it make noise before it started acting this way? If it's low on fluid, there's probably internal damage inside the differential pumpkin. Carefully unbolt and pull off the differential cover and look for metal shavings. A rear end can be rebuilt, but it's expensive. You may be able to install a used one.
