I am trying to change the rear brake pads on a 2015 subaru legacy with the electronic parking brake. I disconnected the connection to the caliper and then removed the caliper from the rotor and bracket but when i removed the pads the piston has come out further where i cant get the tool in to push it back. How would i get the piston back in ?

Well I hate working out at electronic crap. You really need a special computer when you do brake work on those to keep that from happening in the first place. Now I would say disconnect the battery and then if you open the bleeder valve you may be able to twist the caliper back in.
