Hello I got a 1993 chevy k1500 silverado 5.7L v8. My rear diff fill bolt/plug is rounded where you would stick a 3/8 drive and now I cant service the fluid like I was hoping too. I have been trying to find replacement bolts for it so when I do get the fill plug off a can slap a new one on but I've looked every where at local stores and online but no luck. I was wondering what size is the plug bolts so I can maybe get something from the hardware store to make it work.

The book says it's supposed to be mm22 x 1.5.  Some plugs use a 3/8 square drive, some use a 10mm allen wrench and some use a 19mm socket.  If you can't get it out, you might need to put the torch to it.

Thanks yeah I got a hand torch but i'm just also trying to look for a replacement for that plug I've talked to a couple of people and they all said a 1/2 inch pipe plug will do it but I just want to confirm that before I get the old one off and all of a sudden I cant drive cause of what I got is the wrong size lol.

1/2 inch pipe plug is NOT going to work.
