Hi, I drive a 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe 3.5L V6 sport. With 270KMS. When I'm casually driving and I go over the slightest bump I hear a knocking coming from the rear end. I also want to add that I notice the handling on the car has been off. My stopping distance is horrible. My cars body roll is also no good. What could be going on?
Could be worn bushings or joints in the rear. Worn struts. Need to jack it up and try the wheel at 9 and 3, then again at 12 and 6 with your hands, see if you have any play in the rear tires. Could be a worn wheel bearing to. Check your air pressure In your tires and look for lumps, bumps, cracks, worn spots.
Also check your lug nuts make sure they are tight while you have it jacked up.
I can't thank enough for your help!
Your welcome. That’s why were here!
get rid of the car. It's going to be a money pit.
Sometimes, the noise is from worn out shock absorber rubber bushings. Let's hope so.
