I have a 2016 Dodge Grand caravan and my rear windshield wiper hasn't been working. My young son had been messing with it lately so that I believe is the cause of it. Did he possibly mess up the motor of it, or just break the wiper arm? What is the best solution to fix it. Thanks Scotty.
Fuse didn't work, so I tested it. It was trying to move but fell down. Took the cap off of it and the nut was loose. Tightened the nut and now it works.
Thanks for posting back with the fix! Glad it was a simple solution.
A long shot is that wiring could be damaged where it goes into the rear hatch due to flexing. I wouldn't think that would be the case on a relatively new vehicle but it's a possibility. I had that happen years ago on an old AMC Eagle wagon that was equipped with a rear wiper. Other than that, as Scotty says the wiper motor itself is the most likely problem if the fuse isn't blown.
Well if he broke the arm when you turn it on you'll hear the motor running inside if not those are notorious for the motors burning out if the fuse isn't blown and it makes no noise outside the motor is burned out
