can I splice a new wire from my passenger rear taillight to make my driver side light work and same if I have a problem with the front end, with one side just having one feature (drl) (fog light) not working.
It's got 8pins or wires that lead to the plug for the led taillight just one is shorting out and isn't getting constant power to it. It'll cut on for a second and cut out. If I cut at least 6in back from where the wire is already connected in the plug could I use the same wire from the other side to run a cable through the trunk and on that light. Also the brake light and turn signal works on the bad side it's just one part of it not working. Another note moisture is inside the lense.

I used to routinely do that kind of hack job 40-50 years ago, and it worked. I don't think though that I'd try it on a modern vehicle where a computer module is controlling the lights.
