Hi Scotty. We have a family commercial HVAC service and construction company in Southern California. We are trying to transition to more affordable work vehicles. The Mercedes-Benz metris van has worked out well for us, but they stopped making them. It had a 2500 pound load capacity and could fit into parking garages. We are considering a half ton standard cab truck with an 8 foot bed and we would put a cab height work shell on it with compartments on each side of the Work shell. it will also have a slide out tray for the entire bed to access everything inside the bed for tools and miscellaneous materials. Which manufacturer do you recommend at this time for new purchase? We are also open to a full-size van, but it can't be the tall vans It needs to be a standard height van that can fit into parking garages. Please let me know what your thoughts are and if you have any other recommendations that we should consider I really appreciate it!
Well really the only van I'd buy would be a Toyota sienna van and they're mainly made for carrying kids around in. The problem is almost all the van companies now are making crap including Mercedes-Benz. I've had customers buy them and have nothing but problems as they age. I would have to say probably see what Ford makes that isn't too tall for your purpose
