Hi, I have a 2020 Rav4 TRD with 64000 miles. I have a warning message saying AWD system malfunction 2wd mode engaged visit your Dealer! Took the vehicle to dealer they replaced my all wheel drive ECU and cleared the code! two days later same warning took it back to dealer and they can not figure out what the cause is they are waiting to hear back from Toyota! Any thoughts as what might be causing this??
Well, looks like they're little guessing game didn't work. They just guessed that the ECU was bad. It could be inside the transmission. It could be the wiring. It could even be the software. Hardly anyone knows how to work on those things. And obviously you found out that your dealership doesn't know how to work on them either. You might try a four-wheel drive specialist shop. They may have experience with that.
