Hey scotty, i have a toyota wigo 1L, my car recommends anything from 0w20 to 5w30.

My choices are liquimolly 0w20 $68 4L,shell protect 0w30 $65 4L, Aisin 0w20 $34 for 4 liters. aisin seems too cheap? car only has 11k kms, any thoughts? Thanks!

Does you manual indicate any specifications the oil must meet? 'SN' for example.

thanks for the help, check this out, https://toyota-club.net/files/techdata/ttx/agya.htm

there you go. Just make sure the label on the oil has those specifications. If the Aisin has them, then it's fine to use. Of course synthetic is always better.

Are you sure when you say it recommends anything from 0w20 to 5w30, you might want to research that further.

thanks sir,

look to see if it’s rated at SN+ even if you don’t need that high of grade oil, watch project farm’s videos they tell you a lot of good info. Also Amazon basics oil is great stuff. If you have been using synthetic keep using it. if it’s a high mileage car and you haven’t been using synthetic don’t use it or you can get oil leaks.

API SL..SN / ILSAC GF-5
is that any help?

its low mileage. only about 12000 kilometers

my dealership uses toyota 0w20. manual states SN.
i cant buy through amazon here in the PH. well technically i can but its not practical. thanks again mate

Is this correct for your vehicle? https://toyota-club.net/files/techdata/ttx/agya.htm

Why are you planning to use 0W-20/30 oil in the Phillipines? Are you planning to do a road trip to Mt. Fuji? Or preparing for the next ice age?

the article is correct.
i plan on using 0w20 because of the manual. but most places sell 5w30 for way cheaper prices

Out of curiosity, what oil specification does your Toyota dealer use for your car?

toyota genuine 0w20 oil sir, toyota serviced my car 3 times, and i don't like there work. plus dealership prices here are crazy enough thats why im planning to do it myself. the last service of my car was done at 10k kilometers, and they gave me the extra 1L oil (thats why i know it's toyota 0w20) my engine only uses 3liters. im just planning to buy oil from a well known brand

In that case use the cheapest 0W20 oil you can find, from a name brand company in the Phillipines. How much is the 5W30?

Thanks! I will just estimately convert to dollars.
Depends on the brand.
Mag1 / Armsoil / valvoline other western brands usually cost 50 dollars per gallon.

Other brands are low as 35 dollars for the 5w30

As Joe recommended too, use the cheapest name brand oil you can find. It doesn’t have to be only western/eastern manufacturers. As long as the label matches the spec you need, you should be good to go. How much is the Idemitsu 0W20?
