Hi Scotty,
I have a new family and intend to by a used 2015 Toyota Venza. What is your opinion on those type of Japanese crossovers. I don’t here you talk about them, I am in Massachusetts and think this good for winter and all season highway and heavy traffic driving. Are these good for the long haul for young family vehicle interms of maintenance?
Is this a good buy?
Which year is better?
Thanks in advance for your response,
Chris

The first generation Venza is basically a Toyota Camry. And Toyota Camrys are amazing.
2015 was the last year of that generation Toyota Venza, which is ideal because any bugs or issues would have been ironed out by then. That being said, it uses the true and tried I4/V6 engines with 6-speed AT.
Those were excellent vehicles. 2014/2015 probably the best years as fewer issues reported:

As always, make sure you have a trusted mechanic fully check it out before you buy it!
Scotty do you have a twin brother mechanic like you or anyone in Massachusetts you could recommend i could go to for checking the VenZA?
Thanks in advance for your response,
Chris
