Hi Scotty.....am bird-dogging info for mother-in-law, shopping for her last car ever, and insists on a new one. If she chooses against the RAV-4 and goes with Buick Encore GX, can we expect ten years and 50-60Kmiles of trouble-free operation? yes, she really drives only 5-6 thousand miles a year, and declining.
As always, thanks for your info, but more importantly, your attitude of straight talk and unvarnished truth!
I'm always weary of 3 cylinder engines but turbo charged? Man I'm outta the loop. Just tell you mom that there was already a recall on the brakes of the buick and you don't want to out her safety at risk lol

Those 3-cylinder Buicks are lease-mobiles. They would probably last through a 3-year lease OK but I wouldn't bet on muchbeyond that. Certainly not 10 years, even with low mileage. If she wants to buy a last car that will go the distance, the RAV4 is an infinitely better choice.
