I watched your video on resetting my trucks computer using a 10 watt 1 ohm resistor and on my 2020 silverado 1500 5.3 the battery has a bus bar is it ok to use your method and leave bus bar attached.

You don't need anything special, just disconnect the battery ground cable for 20-30 minutes.
