Hello I have a 2014 mustang GT with the MT 82 six speed manual transmission.
How does one remove the reverse light switch from the top of the transmission without removing the transmission?
I had the car on a lift yesterday and was unable to get a wrench or socket on it. i also tried an oxygen sensor socket, a flare nut wrench and a 90 degree bent open end wrench.
The switch is on top about 1 inch from the ceiling of the tunnel, unlike the side like in many other transmissions.

Ford engineering at its best. If there is a trans cross member, maybe you could loosen those bolts to get a little more clearance. Also, maybe you could remove the shift boot and reach in from the top to get access to it.
