Scotty and friends,
Outside my apartment is a 2010 Toyota RAV4 I am seriously considering buying. It has about 65k on the clock.
The car looks great but it has the V6 instead of the 4 cylinder but my question is about the RIDE.
It is the first time I have driven a Toyota and the ride is firm, like really firm. Almost pickup truck firm.
Is this the norm or am I just an old wuss?
Taking it to a mechanic in the morning and back to
Carmax by 11am.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

maybe they have the tires pumped way up
Bad quality/chinese tyres will often do that too.
Did it have aftermarket or massive rims with low profile tyres?
Actually Honda has stiffer ride than Toyota in general. The RAV4 should not have stiff ride like a truck, it’s a crossover not a SUV. Inspect the shocks as well.
Folks,
Never thought about checking the tire pressure but that makes sense. Everything appears to be stock as far as I can tell.
Maybe I am just used to my two Hondas, which were pretty comfortable, especially considering their respective ages.
The car came from Clearwater Florida so I am looking forward to seeing it on a lift to see what the underside looks like. Being between Tampa Bay and the gulf makes me think there is a lot of salt air.........
Oh well, two hours until the shop opens so time will tell.
